CONCACAF Champions League Toronto Guadalajara to meet in final

The Red Bulls racked up 20 shots on the night to just one for the Liga MX side, but couldn't make their efforts count, with Chivas narrowly edging the result.

Chivas topped the New York Red Bulls 1-0 on aggregate after a 0-0 draw in Tuesday's second leg, and Toronto FC slayed another of Liga MX's grandes, topping Club America 4-2 on aggregate after Tuesday 1-1 draw in the second leg, to set up a clash of leagues in the CCL final.

Chivas won its semifinal earlier Tuesday night, playing to a 0-0 tie at the New York Red Bulls for a 1-0 aggregate victory.

And more than 3,000 miles away, in Harrison, New Jersey, trouble also erupted in the stands during the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Champions League.

Guadalajara - 1962 champions - won the opening leg 1-0 on home soil and they managed to grind out a scoreless stalemate - keeping the Red Bulls scoreless for 180 minutes.

After working the ball to the right wing, TFC moved back inside and played in Tosaint Ricketts, Altidore's replacement.

Osorio scored in the 11th minute, taking a pass from Ricketts just before the penalty box and slotting the ball neatly into the net for a 1-0 lead. It was Osorio's third goal of the Champions League tournament.

Toronto survived a scare shortly afterwards however when defender Eriq Zavaleta appeared to head into his own net. What then followed was relentless pressure from Club America and a series of stunning saves from Toronto keeper Alex Bono.

Bono came up big again five minutes later, throwing his hands up for a close-quarters save on Bruno Valdez, catching his own rebound to quiet Club America's offense.

Happy to sit back in the second half, Toronto only conceded via the penalty spot in stoppage time after Michael Bradley fouled Oribe Peralta.

Andres Uribe tied it for Club America in the second minute of injury time on a penalty kick.
