Instagram Is Testing Nametags, Own Version Of Snapchat Snapcodes

No word on if Instagram is whitelisting specific devices, if the compatibility is based on specs, or why this feature might be limited to a number of handsets. There is also no information on whether all data will be retrievable or not.

To check if you're one of the lucky few to get an Instagram Nametag before everyone else, just fire up the app and head to your profile.

Instagram's new focus feature allows owners, without high-end devices, to make their Stories images look fantastic. The feature will be made available on a select number of Android. Interestingly, the users can also edit their Nametags using the Editor. Users are given the option to use their selfie as background emojis. Perhaps they will print the Nametags on their merchandise. While co-founder Kevin Systrom didn't confirm the story either, he did say that there was "tension" over Instagram's future that ultimately worked out in its favour. However, current participants of the test won't be able to share or scan codes yet. This feature is now in the rollout phase and is limited to iOS users.

But in a letter sent Wednesday , Brown says California troops will not enforce federal immigration laws or build a border wall. A spokesman for Brown said the location and assignment of troops would "be dictated by the needs on the ground".

Portability could facilitate the rise of legitimate competitors to Instagram, or at least let users back up their content on an image storage app or their own computer. Instagram has largely escaped the controversies that have bedeviled Facebook over privacy, "fake news", and election interference thanks mainly to Instagram's design as a visual-first social media app.

Nametags is another experimental feature that Instagram is now testing. It's also worth mentioning that Snapchat has already implemented something similar in the form of Snapcodes.
