Melissa Joan Hart to reboot 'Clarissa Explains It All'?

Clarissa Explains It All Melissa Joan Hart

The original "Clarissa" ran from 1991 to 1994 and starred Hart as a hip teen who often spoke directly to the audience about her problems with school, boys and her bratty younger brother.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch isn't the only Melissa Joan Hart character poised to make her television return: the actress will reportedly reprise her iconic role as Nickelodeon's '90s teen, Clarissa Darling, from Clarissa Explains It All. Nickelodeon did not officially confirm the reboot, as the final deals with Hart and Kriegman have not been closed, but according to THR, multiple sources said it's early in development.

Series creator Mitchell Kriegman is also in talks to return to write and executive produce. It was Nickelodeon's first show with a female lead, and has been credited with opening the door for more series with women at the center.

Following her tenure on Clarissa Explains It All, Hart went on to the star in the ABC sitcom Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. That show is going to be given a Riverdale-style makeover and rebooted by Netflix as a dark coming-of-age story that names both Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist as inspirations. Her reported role as mom on the newClarissarebootshouldn't be a stretch for Hart, who has three sons of her own (and whoapparently have zero interest in their mother's past acting roles). It should also be interesting to see if any of the other original stars return.

Vikings Sign DT Sheldon Richardson
The signing of Sheldon Richardson is a big one that automatically improves the defensive front of the Vikings. The Minnesota Vikings came out as the winners of the Kirk Cousins Sweepstakes this offseason.

She said: "I like the way we left Sabrina".

Clarissa Explains It All is in the process of being rebooted by the Viacom-owned cable network, and early discussions are already taking place about producing new episodes!

Bookworms may remember that Kriegman revisited the series in 2015 with a novel, Things I Can't Explain, which served as a sequel to the series and followed Clarissa - then in her late 20s - navigating life as an adult. I think Sabrina ended on a really great note, and I don't think you want to go back and explore that.
