According to the second quarter survey, although the hiring pace will slow, few staff reductions are expected. The strong national result is unchanged when compared to the same period previous year, but declines by three percentage points quarter-on-quarter.

According to the report, USA employer hiring confidence is staying strong in Q2 2018 as one in five plan to grow their workforce in the three months ahead.

Nationwide, employers in all 13 industry sectors expect to add staff in Q2 2018.

The hiring outlook is not as good as the national average where the net employment outlook is 14 per cent. 0 per cent expressed any expectations to reduce payrolls in the next three months.

The holding-pattern outlook comes as the N.C. Commerce Department reported a 4.2 percent unemployment rate in December for the Winston-Salem MSA.

The ManpowerGroup interviewed 58,000 employers in 43 countries and territories and especially 46000 employers in India as their sample size for the employment outlook survey.
