Donald Trump's Body Man John McEntee Leaves White House; Rejoins Campaign

WSJ: Another Trump insider booted — but why?

McEntee worked with Trump from the earliest days of his presidential bid, joining the Trump team in 2015.

It's impossible to speculate what kind of potential financial crimes jettisoned McEntee from the White House, but they must be pretty serious if the Department of Homeland Security is running point on the investigation.

McEntee indicated to colleagues that there was an issue in his background that may have prevented him from gaining full security clearance and led to his dismissal, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.

Trump reelection campaign manager Brad Parscale announced McEntee's hire alongside that of Katrina Pierson, a Trump campaign spokesperson in 2016 who will join the 2020 campaign as a senior adviser.

In February, it emerged that former White House aide Rob Porter was allowed to remain in a sensitive post despite the F.B.I. learning of serious allegations of domestic abuse from two of Porter's former wives.

How the box office made history this weekend
As a writer and director, she's known for powerhouse, emotional films like Selma - the biopic of Dr. Here's a short portion of what Ryan Coogler had to say about the talents of Ana DuVernay.

McEntee managed to keep a low profile in a campaign and White House often embroiled in controversy. He left without his jacket, a second White House official said.

He wasn't well known in public but was constantly beside Trump for the last three years. The cause of the firing was an unspecified security issue, said a third White House official with knowledge of the situation. He was a near-constant presence in the West Wing, and was one of a select group of staffers who were often summoned by the President to the White House residence. White House chief of staff John Kelly has come under fire for his handling of clearances as dozens of staffers had yet to be approved for permanent clearance as of February.

Trump's son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner's interim clearance was downgraded during the fallout.

It was announced today by the Trump Campaign that John McEntee will re-join the team and serve as the new Senior Advisor for campaign operations based in D.C.
