Trump may finally punish Russian Federation for meddling in the election

President Trump and Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven hold a joint press conference at the White House on Tuesday

Speaking in a joint press conference alongside Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Trump said the United States has been treated unfairly by other countries in trade situations, specifically citing barriers put in place by the European Union.

"The Russians had no impact on our votes whatsoever, but certainly there was meddling and probably there was meddling from other countries and maybe other individuals, and I think you have to be really watching very closely", Trump said. "We're going to straighten it out and we'll do it in a very loving way", Trump said.

As to whether he is anxious about Russian interference in the 2018 elections, "No", said Trump.

"We'll counteract it very strongly", Trump said. And I think it's the best way to go. The people over there understand I'm right'.

In questioning Trump's commitment to stopping the Russians, Democrats pointed to recent testimony by National Security Agency chief Mike Rogers, who said Trump has not ordered the U.S. Cyber Command to disrupt Russian cyberthreats that may be supported by President Vladimir Putin. "Nobody got that. I think they're honest because of the sanctions".

"Hope is outstanding and has done great work for the last three years", Trump said in a statement Wednesday. "A lot of states are doing that".

"The trade war hurts them it doesn't hurt us", he added.

Gun in MI university shooting belonged to suspect's father
ABC News reported on Friday that James Eric Davis Jr., was arrested by authorities, following a almost daylong manhunt for him. Central Michigan University administrators say they have been inundated with people wishing to make a donation.

He would only say he enjoys conflict in the White House, that he hears opposite opinions and then makes a decision.

"If you want to stand up and protect American jobs, reconsider this policy", Walker said Tuesday, during a tour of the Bemis Industrial Products factory, which uses aluminum to manufacture ultra-thin food packaging.

The president said the U.S. would closely monitor the vote to ensure its integrity.

President Trump addressed potential talks with the North Koreans while welcoming Sweden's prime minister in the Oval Office.

Sweden has taken a proportionately large number of refugees, primarily from Syria, but the prime minister said early problems have begun smoothing out.

He says he was "one of the first ones to say it", and "took a little heat".

Notably, Trump used part of his response to a Swedish reporter on the topic to predict the Republican Party will do "great" in November's congressional election. I'm dealing with it every day, allocating more resources to the police, more policemen trained, more resources to the security police, tougher law on crime, tougher law on terrorism, supporting terrorism.
