A college football player from Maryland who was left paralyzed after being shot at a New Year's Eve party in Anne Arundel County has passed away. Aaron was shot shielding his girlfriend after gunfire broke out during a party in Severn on January 1.

Aaron was reportedly attending a party in Severn, Maryland with his girlfriend when a fight led to gunfire, and a flying bullet hit Aaron while he was standing by a wall.

"His loss will be felt in every corner of the program, and his spirit will never be forgotten".

The 6-foot-5, 272-pound defensive tackle from Columbia, Md., recorded 13 tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss, in eight games for the Herd during his redshirt freshman season in 2017. Both Rembert and Aaron came to Marshall from Oakland Mills High School.
