Former 'Today' Co-Host Ann Curry Not Surprised At Matt Lauer's Ouster

Ann Curry Matt Lauer

CBS anchor Norah O'Donnell also asked Curry if "verbal sexual harassment was pervasive" during the time she worked as a "Today" show co-anchor alongside Lauer from 2011 to 2012.

Lauer was sacked from Today in November, following multiple reports of sexual misconduct from coworkers.

CBS This Morning - which airs in the same time slot as Today, but has always trailed the NBC show in ratings - had its own scandal, just days before Lauer was sacked.

Curry went on to discuss her new six-part series on PBS, titled "We'll Meet Again", about people who have lived through major events in history and their experiences.

Because left-wing news outlets like CNN, the Washington Post, and the New York Times, want to protect their fellow propagandists at NBC News, even though Ann Curry has broken the news that there is/was a "climate" of sexual harassment at NBC, and pretty much said (as other have) that everyone knew, this will be ignored.

"I can say that I would be surprised if, if - many women did not understand that there was a climate of verbal harassment - that existed", she said.

"I am walking down that road trying not to hurt people", she said.

CBS This Morning had its own personnel change due to sexual misconduct allegations, as co-host Charlie Rose was dismissed in November.

Ties between the UAE and Qatar have been strained since the emirates joined a Saudi-led boycott of the country last June. Mr Al Suweidi also said that the UAE could consider re-touring its flights as a precautionary step, reported Reuters.

Stetler goes on to say that in his 2012 contract negotiations, Lauer essentially told NBC to choose between them, which led to Curry's firing.

The former NBC morning host previously toldPEOPLEshe was "still really processing" the news of Lauer's termination, but she expressed unwavering support of the rising women's movement.

"I don't know what all was behind it", Curry said Wednesday. "I do know that it hurt like hell". It wasn't a fun moment ... But actually I immediately checked myself. "I've just let it go", she continued.

King raised the topic of the public perception that Curry's tearful departure from Today had been in some way orchestrated by Lauer.

You tell 'em, Queen.

That move come two months after Today was overtaken in the ratings by Good Morning America, breaking their 16-year streak as the most watched morning news program. I know what it's like to be publicly humiliated.

"I'm trying to do no harm in these conversations".

But Lauer, who clashed with Curry, reportedly played a role in her ousting, culminating in a humiliating farewell appearance for Curry. "The idea that women are involved speaking to women is an overdue idea", Curry said. "This show lets me explore people's handsome wishes to reconnect with the people who helped them survive". At this point I'm thinking "Hakuna Matata" - it's just sort of over. "It's ultimately not only bad for the women, but it's bad for the company, and bad for our nation.we should be talking about the victims".
