Big Brother's Rebekah Shelton confirms she is alive

It's now unclear what caused the reality star's sudden death, but the sad news was announced on her Twitter page in the early hours of Friday morning.

The reports followed a message posted to Shelton's official Twitter account earlier on Friday afternoon which said that she had died.

Big Brother star Rebekah Shelton has died unexpectedly aged just 32.

The Brazilian, 32, is now called Rebekah Shelton and featured on the show in 2009.

"This person can't accept that I'm happy, that I overcome all my problems and that I'm finally living my life happy". I'm on holiday, I'm in Arabia.

More recently she made a controversial appearance on Judge Rinder where she appeared to try and claim money back for a botched boob job.

"I lost friends, it divided my family and I had to undergo 16 surgeries".

She appeared on ITV show Judge Rinder in 2016 to confront a woman she was accusing of obsessive stalking, and spoke about her long and painful journey to self-acceptance.

The reality TV star began to live as a woman in 2012, after successfully transitioning.
