Salah returns to Liverpool training

Mohamed Salah looked in high spirits as he trained with his team-mates on Wednesday

Salah has been a revelation since joining Liverpool from AS Roma last summer for €42 million, scoring 23 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.

The Egypt global who has garnered 17 efforts in 21 league matches this campaign is yet to feature for the Anfield Stadium outfit this year owing to a groin injury he picked up against Burnley on December 31.

Los Blancos are of course now 16 points behind Barça in the Spanish title race following Sunday's 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo to kick off the new calendar year and have scored far fewer goals at this stage of the season than they have done for many years.

Now, he will hopefully hit the ground running once again, with Liverpool eager to take revenge for September's 5-0 mauling at the hands of City.

And the same report says that Salah is in line to be fit to feature for the Reds against the Premier League leaders at Anfield this weekend.

Liverpool's Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, joined the Liverpool squad in the training session on Wednesday after he recovered from his injury.

Mohamed Salah missed a couple of great chances in that Man City match, as the Reds looked capable of beating the Sky Blues.

Liverpool play high-flying Manchester City this weekend, in a matchup that sees two of the Premier League's hottest teams face off.

Jordan Henderson and Alberto Moreno were both absent as they continue their respective rehabs while Nathaniel Clyne is still AWOL.
