Queen's bra fitter Rigby & Peller stripped of royal warrant

Queen Princess Diana Rigby & Peller

A company which supplied lingerie to Queen Elizabeth II has lost its royal warrant over a book that revealed details of royal meetings, United Kingdom media report.

Mrs Kenton wrote about Princess Diana's bra fittings, adding that she would accept posters of lingerie and swimwear models for sons William and Harry to put up at their Eton digs.

The brand was given the Royal Warrant in 1960, more than two decades before Ms Kenton and her husband purchased the company.

June Kenton insisted her book entitled "Storm in a D-Cup" provided few details that would necessarily upset the royal customer - although clearly this is not now the case in the eyes of the royal household.

In a statement, Rigby & Peller said it was deeply saddened by the decision, without elaborating on the cause.

Buckingham Palace, meanwhile, told the Express that it would "never comment on individual companies". She sold her stake in 2011, but remained on the board and continued to work with the royal family.

"A royal warrant can be cancelled at any time for various reasons", the spokesman said, explaining that royal warrants are also reviewed every five years. She penned intimate details about measuring the half-dressed monarch in front of her corgis.

Camila Cabello Debuts 'Never Be The Same' on 'Fallon'
But Cabello - whose debut solo album, Camila , will be released on Friday, Jan. 12 - certainly didn't take the performance that way.

"I'm very sad Buckingham Palace took exception to the story - it's a kind and gentle story about what went on in my life", said Keller, according to the BBC. "I can't fight with Buckingham Palace and I wouldn't want to", she said.

Kenton began working for the Queen in the early 1980s as her official "corsetiere"; she also worked for Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother. "She's wonderful. I mean, don't you think she's fantastic?"

The Royal Warrant Holders Association said it does not comment on decisions regarding individual Royal Warrants or companies.

"I'm coming towards the end of my life, I'm 82, so it is what is it, there is nothing I can do".

The royal coat of arms must be removed from any promotional material and shop signs.

Hard to confirm which tidbit the Queen found most irritating, but it's easy to assume that she was-like many women would be-troubled by her bra fitter writing a book that included her, no matter how non-naughty the information might be.
