Along with luxurious corporate retreat facilities, The Blast reports the facility will also offer clients hands-on marijuana growing lessons taught by Tyson - helping budding growers to ideal their craft in the Tyson Cultivation School.

Tyson's cannabis farm will focus on "high quality strains of THC", the key mind-altering component in marijuana, and CBD, which has significant medicinal properties.

Twenty of the ranch's 40 acres will be handed over to master growers, who will have maximum control over their land and environment.

On Monday, recreational marijuana was legalized in California, though the sale and consumption of medical marijuana in the state has been legal for more than 20 years. Tyson was pictured at the plot alongside the city's mayor Jennifer Wood as well as his business partners Robert Hickman and Jay Strommen.

We're told the company that operates the ranch, Tyson Holistic, is comprised mainly of veterans, and says taking care of men and women who have served in the armed forces is a top priority.

Tyson has a long public history with marijuana. The ranch will also feature a resort facility premium "glamping" campgrounds and cabins. In 2000, the former heavyweight champion was fined for testing positive for marijuana, and his technical knockout and win over Andrew Golota was changed to "no contest" after the test.

Tyson admitted that he declined the invitation because he was a "closet smoker" and didn't want word getting out that he used the drug.

She said the industry will not only provide medical marijuana to people in need, but also provide revenue, jobs and income for residents.
