MLB Agent Jason Wood Fired for Allegedly Filming Clients in the Shower

MLB Baseball Stadium

Jason Wood, the president of baseball for agency Career Sports Entertainment (CSE), was sacked by the company on Wednesday evening amid allegations he filmed a player in the shower at his St. Louis home.

According to FanRag Sports one player noticed the camera, confronted Wood, and fired him.

Accusations against the agent emerged after a baseball player who prefers to remain anonymous reportedly found a hidden camera in the bathroom while using the shower in Wood's home.

Three sources say that Wood has been fired by CSE, where he was the President of Baseball.

Wood had represented Red Sox star Andrew Benintendi and former New York Yankees ace David Phelps amongst others, reports said.

For more than 32 years, we at CSE Talent prided ourselves on ethical and moral standards and built a strong reputation across the industry, said Danny Martoe the president of CSE in a prepared statement. "We take pride in working with people who represent these values".

Sevilla, United in ticket war
Ultimately Sevilla have not agreed to significantly lower the price to what we view as a reasonable level. United pledged any extra revenue would be donated to the club's foundation.

Wood denied the claims in a statement released to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

It continued by saying that over the last 13 years he has worked to build his agency into a success through hard work and integrity.

It was acquired by CSE Talent in 2017, with Wood taking over its baseball division.

Wood denies the allegations and has hit out at those who, in his view, "have chosen to spread such irresponsible and harmful rumors", according to Jeff Passan, an Major League Baseball columnist who says he received a message from the agent. "I am disappointed that there are those who have chosen to spread such irresponsible and harmful rumors".

HuffPost reached out to Wood, who did not immediately respond. Yahoo reported multiple players have stayed with Wood in his St. Louis house, and FanRag reported some of them may have been captured on video as well.

Corrections/clarifications: A previous version of this story incorrectly indicated that Jason Wood played in the major leagues and used an incorrect photo.
