Showtime swears 'Halo' TV show is still in 'active development'

It's sort of an update, at least: Steven Spielberg's long-anticipated Halo television show is still going forward at Showtime. However, David Nevins, the Big Cheese at Showtime, has assured fans that the show is still very much in the pipeline. When we'll see actual development, of course, still remains to be seen. "[It's] still in very active development", was the only real definitive answer that he could give and stated that he had read some of the scripts and enjoyed what he had seen. Effectively, despite assurances from Showtime, it's in development hell.

In a follow up with TV Guide, Showtime's head of programming, Gary Levine added that he is "encouraged" by what has been brought to the table so far.

Arsenal on the verge of agreeing January deal for Jonny Evans
The full-back has been riddled with injuries and is finding it hard to break into the side now that he is fit. It is claimed though that given Arsenal's stature, Evans will not be deaf to Wenger's approach.

The series was originally meant to an Xbox Live exclusive show before it was taken over by the American cable network Showtime.

It's been almost five years since Microsoft announced plans for the Steven Spielberg-backed Halo TV show, though it's still yet to grace our screens. "We have no further details to share at this time". No other names have been attached to the project since it was announced, however. Even though the wait continues, the notion that studios are at least taking a while to let the series develop might be reassuring for some. Several digital projects related to the property have already been made, including the live-action series Halo: Forward Unto Dawn in 2012 and the film Halo: Nightfall in 2014, which starred Mike Colter.
