Omarosa Manigault Newman to Leave White House Job Next Month

United States President Donald Trump and Omarosa Manigault

January 20 is set to be her last day, according to a statement from White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The former reality TV star, whose duties in the Trump administration were never especially clear, has handed in her resignation. Her brash and manipulative persona on the show both endeared her to Trump and made her a must-watch character.

Manigault Newman, one of Trump's most high-profile African-American supporters, will leave one year to the day after Trump took office, Sanders said.

Manigault Newman's decision comes at the start of what's expected to be a round of departures heading into the new year. But she clashed at times with the Washington political establishment in the White House. "He's burned all his bridges", the source said.
