Former Ohio State wide receiver Terry Glenn died in a auto accident

Reports Former Patriots WR Terry Glenn dies in car wreck

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Terry Glenn was reportedly killed in a auto crash on Monday morning.

The woman driving the auto is now being treated at a local hospital.

Glenn would have two more strong seasons with the Patriots and caught Tom Brady's first National Football League touchdown pass in 2001, but saw his time in New England end as a healthy scratch after disputes with Bill Belichick.

Glenn, 43, was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he died at about 12:52 a.m., the Dallas County medical examiner's office confirmed to NBC DFW.

The 1999 Pro Bowler totaled 593 catches for 8,823 yards and 44 touchdowns in the NFL.

'Justice League' Opens To DCEU Low $96 Million
The superhero team-up movie went through numerous hurdles during post-production and the resulting film may not have been what fans wanted.

Glenn was drafted seventh overall by the New England in 1996.

Glenn followed up his spectacular 2005 campaign with an nearly equally strong 2006, finishing with 70 catches for 1,047 yards and six touchdowns.

He missed the first 15 games of his final season in 2007 following knee surgery.

He caught Tom Brady's first career touchdown pass during that 2001 season, which was marred by a suspension, a domestic abuse case and disputes with Bill Belichick's coaching staff.

Glenn is survived by his three children.
