Clinton campaign and DNC helped pay for Trump piss dossier

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about President Donald Trump's connections to Russian Federation and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

"Folks involved in funding this lied about it, and with sanctimony, for a year", Haberman wrote on Twitter, linking to the Post's report.

The outlet, citing unnamed sources familiar with the dossier's funding, said Mark Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, hired the firm Fusion GPS to conduct the opposition research. Those sources also said that once Mr. Trump became the nominee, further investigation was funded by groups and donors supporting Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton campaign and the DNC, through the law firm, continued to fund Fusion GPS's research through the end of October 2016, days before Election Day.

The full story can be seen at the Washington Post in the link next to this article.

When the Republican donor stopped paying for the research, Elias, acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC, agreed to pay for the work to continue. That surely won't matter on Fox News or to the White House, which has tried to use the existence of some of the more bonkers accusations in the dossier as evidence that everything Russia-related is equally off-the-wall Clinton propaganda fed to the deep state.

Meanwhile Mayawati also took a dig at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saying that how the state could progress when chief minister is not getting any time and is busy in "puja paath" (worship) in temples.

Until now, though, the dossier had not been tied specifically to the Clinton campaign or the DNC.

President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin hold a meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany, July 7, 2017.

Despite there being no proof the Federal Bureau of Investigation actually paid Steele, Trump suggested it might have in a tweet last week - along with "Russia. or the Dems (or all)".

Over objections from Democrats, the Republican leader of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes, Calif., subpoenaed Fusion GPS's bank records to try to identify the mystery client.

Fusion GPS and the bank must let the court know by 3 p.m. Thursday if the parties reach a settlement. A judge on Tuesday extended a deadline for Fusion GPS's bank to respond to the subpoena until Friday while the company attempts to negotiate a resolution with Nunes.

CNN admitted the narrative that President Donald Trump has been claiming was true, per a source close to the FBI-Mueller-Russia probe. CNN reported in February that investigators had been able to corroborate some information in the dossier, although not the most salacious allegations. Magnitsky worked for Browder, and he is the namesake of a law containing sanctions that was passed by Congress and is a sore spot between the US government and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
